To get the remaining value of the SIM Card, please enter the following sequence in your terminal program (i.e. Hyper Terminal):

Input:	atd*130#; <enter>
Answer:	+CUSD: 2,"Ihr Restguthaben ist CHF 181,20",15 OK

with Sunrise: atd*121*#; <enter>
with Orange: atd*122#; <enter>

 

How can I check the cuirrent firmware version of my module?

The firmware version , Manufacturer and product ID can be read with: ati:

Input:	ati <enter>	Explanation
Answer:	SIEMENS TC35i REVISION 03.01 OK	Manufacturer Product identification Firmware version End

 

I would like to know the reception value of the place my module is currently located.

To get to know the current reception value there are are 3 different commands:

The most famous one is AT+CSQ:

Input:	at+csq <enter>	Explanation
Answer:	+CSQ: 24,0 OK	this answer shows a reception value of approximately -69dBm (see figure in the pdf document below) the second value is the Bit Error Rate (BER), this value shows the BER value of an ongoing data connection.

Not the most famous, but by far the most useful command is: AT^MONI:

Input:	at^moni <enter> (values of the actice cell)
Answer:	Serving Cell I Dedicated channel chann rs dBm MCC MNC LAC cell NCC BCC PWR RXLev C1 I chann TS t Q Ch Mod   654 41 -69 228 01 0CA0 4D2A 3 6 30 -111 41 I No conn.             OK

For the most precise result concerning the environment, use the AT^MONP command: (Neighbour cells are the cells that the module will switch to when the active cell is overloaded)

Input:	at^monp <enter> (values of neighbourcells)	Explanation
Answer:	chann rs dBm MCC MNC BCC C1 C2 19 41 -69 228 01 1 41 41 7 36 -74 228 01 0 36 36 17 35 -75 228 01 2 35 35 713 33 -77 228 01 7 33 33 22 29 -81 228 01 1 29 29 718 29 -81 228 01 3 29 35 OK	This command shows only the neighbour cells! For the active cell please use AT^MONI.

I can not receive any SMS on my new TC35iTerminal!
What do I have to do to fix it?

The SMS are now stored in the memory of the module itself! To switch back to the SIM storage, please enter the following sequence with your terminal program. (only RoHS version SV03.01):

Input:	ati <enter>	Explanation
Answer:	SIEMENS TC35i REVISION 03.01 OK	Check version! This change is only necessary with this version!

 

Input:	at+cpms="MT","MT","MT" <enter>	Explanation
Answer:	+CPMS: 0,25,0,25,0,25 OK	This changes the Memory value.

 

Input:	at+cpms="SM","SM","SM" <enter>	Explanation
Answer:	+CPMS: 0,50,0,50,0,50 OK	This command switches to the SIM Memory

 

Input:	at^smso <enter>	Explanation
Answer:	^SMSO: MS OFF OK	To store this change, you have to shut down the module

After this change, your messages will be safed in the SIM card memory as in all previous versions of TC35i.
